For an awe-inspiring experience, visit Amritsar’s stunning Golden Temple, the holiest place of worship for Sikhs the world over. The uniqueness of this archeological marvel lies in its appearance which is very contrasting at dawn and dusk. The mesmerizing views of the temple from each angle soakes you through the architectural beauty and is a must visit for the photoholics.
The only road border crossing between India and Pakistan, Wagah (In Pakistan) and Attari (In India) lies between Amritsar in India and Lahore in Pakistan.
This is the place to witness the Wagah border ceremony, involving mucic, coordinated music, and lots of pomp and circumstance and thereafter the ceremonial lowering of flags on both sides of the border.
Travel is incomplete without food and in particular Amritsar is incomplete without food! Here, one of the delicious things they’re famous for are their kulchas (butter-soaked bread baked in a tandoor stuffed with potatoes or cottage cheese).
